Being a productive Woho guru

At the beach

Is “iso” at home beginning to grind? Here are a dozen more tips from the deckchair philosopher. Don’t forget to have fun on those homestuck days.

  1. It’s time to get off your chair and get creative…yes I know, you may need a little inspiration, but just think, there is no boss and no peers to judge your work…..now you can be truly YOU.
  2. This week try creating and original art piece to put on the shelf behind you for that next Zoom meeting– think about the environment….go to your recycle bin and get some great raw material….let that crushed can or crumpled paper cup set the theme, but make sure it is clean before you get out the glue or sticky tape.
  3. Get fit and get even – Is your doctor or partner always giving you a hard time about your weight or fitness? Time to try HIT High Intensity Training. Just go flat out on a bike, runup stairs or a steep slope for a minimum 30 seconds or until you can go no further. Then rest for 2 minutes and go again. Repeat 5 times. Do this 3 times per day… all wee
  4. This week’s Eisenhower Matrix Field 3?– Learn some new software or learn a new feature in Excel.  Make sure you practice on something that counts or that you have to send to someone

  10. What are you watching…? Don’t miss the great free shows from the London National Theatre or Andrew Lloyd-Webber on YouTube.
  11. Much More Mindfulness time –If you started last week, build on this. If you have a garden, go out and walk bare foot on the lawn whilst listening to nature and smelling the flowers.
  12. When? –Planning your time and activities for a feeling of achievement could be really important right now. Get back to to-do lists…Today; This week; When you get out

  14. Build resilience like a muscle– The gym may be closed but you can exercise your resilience muscles at home. Too many options usually allow us to bail out of resilience and give up….make the most of your limited options and take them to the high ground. Decide to do just one thing…to the bitter end
  15. Travel?– Yes, you can…. with virtual tours of national parks and museums including MoMA, Tate London, Hawaii’ Nahuku Lava Tube all on Google
  16. Becoming a Woho master – Continually reassess your communication and empathy with others in your home. How can you communicate better? How can you help any fellow isos who may be struggling?
